Welcome to Radio Fremantle

Radio Fremantle is a not-for-profit community radio station serving Fremantle and surrounding areas. Broadcasting on 107.9 FM and streaming online, our aim is to provide the community with great music, news, local information and more. We provide access to various multicultural, specialist and collage programmes.

Radio Fremantle is a non-profit company, trading under the name of Creative Community Radio, Incorporated. The programmes are researched and presented by a dedicated team of volunteers. The Chairman of the Board, Dr. Ted Walker, Ph.D  and Margaret Morellini are responsible for all the day-to-day operations at the station.

Raido Fremantle 107.9FM launched on the morning of Saturday, October 3, 1987. The first song to be played was 'Electric Blue' by Icehouse (Australian band.)

Radio Fremantle, in conjunction with Murdoch University, provides an opportunity to learn how to become a radio announcer through our very popular Training Course. At the conclusion of the course, you are presented with a Certificate of Completion. Our Training Page has full details.
