The World Football Programme has been on air since 1987 and has expanded and morphed from one to two hours of local, national and international football. In 2010 the programme expanded to three hours.

The World Football Programme interviews guests from local leagues to national teams and international leagues. A sampling of our guests includes National Coaches such as Aurelio Vidmar and Tom Sermanni, players such as Rhys Williams, Lisa De Vanna, Sarah Walsh, Fox Sport presenters Simon Hill and Mike Cockerill, SBS presenters Francis Awaritefe and Vitor Sobral, local icons Stan Lazaridis, Alistair Edwards and Gary Marocchi. Plus 442, Green and Gold Army, The Four Diegos and Full on Football Media personalities. Many media students have kick-started their careers with the programme including Rob Scott of the ABC and Ann Odong of thewomensgame.com.

The programme is researched, produced and presented by a team of two: Penny Tannerhoath and Jason Washington-King. Penny has played football for state and country and Jason is a Premier League Coach and TAFE Sports Lecturer. We all coach, play or administrate in the sport and love talking about all aspects of football.

The team have a well-earned break during Easter and Christmas through January, returning on-air in February.

As local, national and international league seasons and international tournaments move through the year, programming of guests may change to suit availability and tournament schedules. Otherwise, the programme will usually follow the following schedule.
